The SLAP incident

Hello Mortals,

A new week filled with opportunities and excitement, get up and make the best of it

The line above is my early morning psych, not been working for a while. This week, I’ll be premièring 2 brand new series, one is Zoe’s papers which is a weekly story from a sexy young lady and her foray into the world of able young ‘shaggadelic’men…its an adult series, watch out for it every thursday starting from this one 🙂

The second one is Average Joe, its also an erotica series, so every week from this week, you’ll always have atleast 2 erotica stories to read on this blog. Isnt that just exciting ? 😀

Anyway, going back to today’s story, I would really appreciate your feedback on today’s short story. Is it domestic violence or caution.

Do Enjoy, and please leave a comment..

I have known Lanre for about 5 years now and it’s been 2 years since we’ve started dating. Our friendship started while we were in school. He walked up to me in my 3rd year in school, he was actually quite bold because i was amidst 4 of my other friends and asked to speak with me in private. I obliged him mainly because of his courage.

We got talking and got intimate and he finally came out to profess his love for me ever since our first encounter at the Registrar’s office. I didn’t even noticed him then. Lanre turned out to be a sweet guy but I couldn’t have anything more to do with him other than being friends, I had a boyfriend who I was crazily in love with and had been dating him since my year one. A working class guy, tall, good looking and very nice. He made my whole life wonderful, he showered me with gifts. Even if i wanted to cheat on Fola, there had to be a valid reason, Fola was an all rounder. I turned down Lanre as many times as he asked.

Ideally, I would have fought him due to his persistence but I didn’t because he’s a nice guy. We finished from school, he moved on, I moved on as well.

About 2 years ago, we met again at a bank, he was looking more dashing than ever. He said hi to me first and I hugged him like my life depended on it. It was evident that he was living the good life. Not like he was bad looking in school but the corporate world had done him a lot of good.

We tried to talk but it seemed like time wasn’t enough, he looked at his watch and we had spent 1 hour on the spot talking, shamelessly laughing at intervals, the whole arrangement just seemed so sublime and peaceful.

We had more dates  and he asked why I & Fola weren’t married, I had to break the news that Fola impregnated a roommate of mine, he didn’t only accept the baby, he also married her. I explained how devastated I was for a few months, I saw pity for me in his eyes. I remembered how much he loved me back then and how he did everything for me.

We kissed after the fourth date and then we started dating fully. It was so wonderful. Lanre was my all in all. We went everywhere together, Lanre brought back sunshine into my life.

However, last night Lanre did something he had never done before.  I was having a really rough day and Lanre slapped me. I haven’t spoken a word to him since that slap. First thing this morning, I packed my stuff from his house and made my way to Stella’s house.

I’m definitely cancelling the wedding, 3 weeks is still a long time to cancel anything.

Thank God its saturday…

I knocked on Niran’s door, I haven’t been myself since last nite. I couldn’t believe I hit Chioma. My head was hanging low, when Niran came to open the door, loosely dressed. I could see lipstick marks on his shirt and also looked like he had no plans of waking up yet. In his sleepy state, he said, “Lanre, what could have happened that you couldn’t discuss over the phone?”

“I slapped Chioma” I replied.

Niran couldn’t believe what I had just told him, his face had surprised look, the sleep vanished from his face as his mouth was left agap. He opened up the door, I entered as he went to lock the door of his bedroom, i could see the silhouette of a woman. Niran is a reckless womanizer, remember the adjective reckless, We’ve been friends since University days.

We’ve always had each other’s back no matter what. He was the one who advised me to be patient about Chioma when I started disturbing her about my feelings for her. We all knew Niran is the guy to talk to when it came to women’s affairs.

I sank into his comfy couch. He poured me half a glass of Vodka which I drank in a single gulp. This feat scared Niran himself but he still asked if I wanted a refill which I replied with a resounding no. He continued by asking me to explain how the whole thing happened. I began my story.

We were driving home last night from work, I wanted us to chill on the island for a bit before heading back home but she said she wanted to leave immediately. I had my reasons but I didn’t want to argue with her. We got on the road and as expected there was a lot of traffic so i passed through Ikoyi to head to 3rd Mainland Bridge.

We were gisting through the traffic with the traffic is a bit crazy last night. As we passed through Foreshore Estate, the traffic seem to be getting worse, we kept moving at a  snail’s speed.  Then she broke into the gist of Jude, that guy that disturbs her…that was when she started getting angry at the whole situation and then about the snail speed traffic, I dint seem to understand why she was getting worked up about Jude, the guy has been disturbing her for a very long time now,

Just up ahead, I sensed trouble.

It seemed like there was a robbery, extortion kind of robbery, cars were been stopped and phones, computers and wallets were been collected. The thieves were disguised like Police officers and I told Chioma. Her mood became aggravated and she began to do alot of screaming. I was finding it difficult to concentrate.

I needed to think but her noises wouldn’t let me do that. Her screams were disturbing my concentration. I am not sure how it happened, all I  knew was that I slapped her and there was a great silence in the car. The silence was deafening. I was able to navigate off the road taking one way up the bridge where people leaving Dolphin estate joined 3rd Mainland Bridge.

The drive home was silent as was the whole night and she hasn’t uttered a word to me since then. I have begged her time and time again but she has just completely ignored me. The look in her eyes is what I haven’t seen on her before.

Niran took a deep breath as i finished my narration and he relaxed back into his sofa.

“Niran, do you think she will still go ahead with the wedding?” I asked.

I could read Niran’s face that he was trying his best to give me the kind of answer that would give me courage, something that would make me happy atleast to elevate my mood. He looked me dead in the eye and said,

“Ofcourse, she will go ahead with the wedding”.

That was the first time I could breath fresh air. It seemed like some weight has been dropped from my shoulder, and then he continued,

“I am with you on this one, this isn’t domestic violence, It’s clear that the both of you were in danger and at that point in time,  there were no rules anymore. She was screaming which was affecting your strength of reasoning. If you had taken another decision without careful thinking. It could have been harmful to both of you”. Niran justified my actions.

I sat back, sad and felt unworthy of her. I panicked and now, the love of my life is closing the day on us.
