Living in a Bubble!

*Hissing around*

Just wondering why the government cant declare both Monday & Tuesday as public holiday…pschewwww

Ehen jare, Now for our regular blogging programme.

____

I came across the ‘Bubble’ term sometime ago. Believe me, it has nothing to do with my name ‘Deolu Bubble ;). My first encounter with the idea was on a show called 30 Rock.

Living in a bubble is close to being invisible. I’m sorry, invisible isn’t the word – the word would be super. Okay, now I’m not even sure that’s the best word. Let me try to explain this differently. Living in the bubble hinges on the concept of a stage in life when you would get almost everything for free – the most fabulous stage of your life, when your life just seems so complete.

You don’t allow people get you down, you always have to look good, and your spirit is always high. Not the weed high. I mean the natural high which is what celebs portray to us most of the time which makes us absolutely love them.
When we see them in public places, they always have this awesome aura around them that automatically pulls us towards them. I like to call this feeling living in a bubble.

Regular people also live in a bubble.

I know a guy. He isn’t a celeb. He just dresses well, speaks well and exudes a lot of positive energy. I will bet with mortgage that he can compete with any adulterous male celeb out there.

Hello Mr. Idibia! *waves from a distance*

The ladies just love his aura! We went to the bank together and different ladies outdid themselves, just to have him use their pen to fill out a teller. The girl at the counter, whose job it is to be happy at people was happier than normal when he came up. He was even offered to jump the queue, which he politely refused. This is true story.

I almost asked him if he was a popular face in social circles, magazines or a star of some sort. Alas, even I, was left dazed by his very potent charisma. And besides, I didn’t know him that well.
The kind of air around you matters. Nobody wants to be associated with a dull, depressed person. The world loves happy people.

People will allow you jump the queue, free rides, free movies and for the guys, you get free sex 😀
Different people get to live in the bubble for different reasons. Most of them get it because they’re celebs.
Ladies  beautiful or sexy ladies often live in the bubble also. I hope we can all agree that not every beautiful woman is sexy. Angelina Jolie isn’t exactly beautiful but erotic in several ways. More folks will be inclined to judge her as sexy whereas Jennifer Love Hewitt is remarkably beautiful and even sexy at the same time.

I’m sorry if I can’t make Nigerian star actress references as most of them ever make it in my books. I know Kola Boof will be quick to say Go black sisters. I agree with her, but in Nigeria it is not the case with me.
I also do not think that having a big ass or dinosaur size boobs qualifies any lady as sexy. For me, it has to do with the whole body. For instance, most people will term Cossy Orjiakor as sexy, but I just think those mammary glands are for 5 different women!

And for all I care, if we release them from the boob packer she uses (I honestly think her kind of bras are different), you’ll be shocked to find out that her boobs will stretch as long her thighs with the nipples pointing to the ground. I kid not.

I’m sorry I keep diverting. I keep doing that all the time abi? I am sorry. Back to the living in a bubble experience. People who live in the bubble often feel untouchable.

Some people create the bubble for themselves. Yes, for some people that I know, they’ve created the bubble for themselves. They portray their life as glamorous, fast and unbelievably interesting. Regular folks also get to live this life as well as far as you’re good-looking, elegant, depends on what the society terms as acceptable at that point in time.

It’s a good feeling, like I get to live in the bubble sometimes. Don’t hate the player 🙂  hate the game 😛
Most of the people who live in this bubble allow it to get into the heads and that’s when the shit hits the fan. That’s the reason why its called bubble, because it will burst sooner or later but then some Celebs have managed to live in this bubble for so long, people such as RMD, Ramsey Nouah, Genevieve Nnaji, etc.

The only reason I am mentioning some of these people is because there are the only celebrities that are worthy to be called celebrities. I don’t think the new generation ones can still hold people sway with people if they don’t get movie roles for another 4-10 years.

Sorry Miss Dike. 🙁

Some people’s bubble has already gone poof. I saw 9ice a couple of weeks ago, and he looked so ordinary. Infact, if he had stepped on me, I would have given him a hot slap before I acknowledged knowing him from anywhere.

(Also, i like the effect Yoruba language adds when stating the fact of an impending slap ….. Mo ma gbe igbaju fun e…)

The whole idea is that when you’re leaving in a bubble, be careful and gentle in your ways, because after all no one lives in a bubble forever. They will come a time when you would be as ordinary as every other person.

In as much what you exude what will determine how people will treat you, you can build your own bubble. You’re what you call yourself, you can also create your own bubble by deciding to be happy with who you’re and pursuing your life goals.

Most people you see around smiling and looking unbelievable happy also have their own problems but they’ve just decided to make do with what they have hence you portray them as living in a bubble.

Create your bubble as well!
