A man in Germany was killed on Christmas Day 2015 while attempting to rob a condom machine after his bomb exploded prematurely.
The unidentified 29-year-old and two cohorts tried to blow up the machine in Schoppingen for condoms and cash. However, one of the robbers was hit in the head by a shard of metal when the bomb exploded before they could reach a safe distance from the blast.
The survivors told authorities their friend had fallen down the stairs but later confessed to wrecking the machine. They were subsequently arrested and later released from custody.

A Florida man (not Marty McFly, although we don’t know his identity) who thought he was time traveling smashed his car through two businesses in a strip mall in December 2015.
A Dodge Challenger sped through a Pensacola intersection and careened through the front entrance of Advanced Tax Services. The car kept going, smashing through the wall and into the business next door, Pensacola Caskets. The 40-year-old driver told authorities he was driving at high speeds on the interstate in an attempt to enter a time portal, and that he did not leave the portal until the crash occurred. The confused man, who was from Nashville, had his seat belt on during the crash and was not injured. (Source | Photo)
In September 2015, a California man rushed into his apartment to save a rack of barbecue ribs from a fire.
Robert Wright was grilling meat at around 3 a.m. (that’s weird enough) at his apartment in Fresno when a fire broke out in a neighbor’s unit. He secured his family, then headed back inside and saved the rack of barbecue ribs left on the grill.
Of his meat-motivated bravery, he said, “I was barbecuing man, and I see this fire just come out of the window and the window busted out. The only thing I think first man, ‘make sure them ribs is right.'”
“I got my kids first, first thing I got my kids, and then I thought about my ribs, like ‘I don’t wanna let my ribs burn and stuff,’ cause I take pride in what I do, man.”

Josseleen Elida Lopez, 25, shot meth in a Lecanto, Florida Walmart before chomping down on several meals at the retail giant.
Lopez was riding a motorized shopping cart through the store with a half-empty wine bottle, loss prevention officers told deputies. She also ate most of a rotisserie chicken while sitting on the floor before authorities stopped her hungry wreckage.

A 50-year-old socialite who refused life-extending medical treatment because she feared growing old was allowed to die despite being diagnosed with a narcissistic personality disorder. A psychiatric assessment concluded she had “disturbance in the functioning of the mind,” but, despite this, a judge ruled she could die after hearing of her persistent fear of aging and “losing her sparkle.”
The unnamed woman told her daughters “I’ve royally cocked it up” and swallowed painkillers and a £40 bottle of Veuve Clicquot. The liver and kidney damage from her suicide attempt led to the need for treatment that sparked the court case, with the woman insisting she did not want dialysis and wanted to be allowed to die.
The vivacious woman, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, told doctors she would rather die than lose her love of the “high life,” and said she could not face a future of ill health and poverty.
Her family told the court they did not want her to die but had to respect her decision. (Source)

A witness sketch that has been deemed the worst ever has gone viral—and yet, it helped identify the suspect.
The sketch, drawn by a witness who assisted authorities in the case, apparently shows 15-year-old DeAndre Charles, who was arrested in December 2015 for the murder of a rabbi in Miami. Even though the drawing was universally slammed online, some people say they see the resemblance. (Source | Photo)
A woman in Siberia got several lumps of coal in her Christmas stocking — and she couldn’t be happier.
43-year-old Yelena Salnikova, a nurse from the small town of Berezovsky, was awarded several tons of coal after losing 66 pounds. She took advantage of an offer made by Aman Tuleyev, the governor of Russia’s Kemerovo region, who had promised to reward residents with 1.5 metric tons of coal for every 10 kilos (22 pounds) lost.
“This will save me up to 8,000 rubles ($100) if it’s colder than -30 degrees Celsius (-22 degrees Fahrenheit) and will surely last for at least half the winter,” Salnikova said. (Source | Photo)
In 2015, conservative blogger Matt Drudge delivered an exclusive scoop— Leonardo DiCaprio is raped by a bear in his new film, The Revenant. The story spread so quickly that a spokesperson for 20th Century Fox had to make a statement saying “there is clearly no rape scene with a bear.”
Both DiCaprio and the film’s director, Alejandro Inarritu, expressed bafflement and exasperation at the bear rape claim. On the red carpet of the movie’s LA premiere, DiCaprio called the story “absurd” andInarritu said Drudge’s report was “hilarious, and pathetic in a way.”
The episode triggered a Twitter firestorm, not only about DiCaprio and the bear, but it also set some curious minds to wondering—do bears rape? This question that was on a lot of people’s mind’s—including Jeb Bush’s communications director, Tim Miller, who asked, “Are there any recorded examples of a bear raping a human in real life?”
The alleged bear-rape scene in The Revenant is a mauling, a fate that in real life is far worse. If a bear attacks you, don’t just lie down and get mauled and eaten—you can fight back in various ways, like shoving your arm down the animal’s throat. (Source |Photo)
